Arita Porcelain |
|
| |
Arita is the name of a town in Japan
on Kyushu Island. In early 1600's, skilled potters from Korea were brought
back to the town by Japanese warlords. The raw material kaolin from this
mountainous region produces very fine white porcelain. To this day Arita is
still known as the central point of Japan's finest porcelain.
These date around
1930's to 1950's. |
